Helvetas-Bhutan hosted  the monthly meeting of development partners in Bhutan on 1^st April. Representatives from 11 development agencies and from the Embassy of Bangladesh participated. The highlight of the meeting was a presentation from a guest speaker - Ms. Pek Dorji from the Bhutan Center for Media and Democracy (BCMD). BCMD is one of the first civil society organizations (CSOs) in the country to get formally registered with the CSO Authority of Bhutan. The presentation highlighted the challenges of registering as a CSO, and the importance of CSOs in the democratic processes.
