

INPUTS FOR THE COUNTRY PROGRAMME
On 8th February 2011, a workshop on seeking inputs from stakeholders for Helvetas-Bhutan’s engagement in two working areas - Natural Resources Management (NRM) and Rural Infrastructure (RI) - was held. The workshop looked at trends and challenges in these working areas, experiences and lessons learnt from past engagements, and opportunities and future areas of strategic interventions.
On 8th February 2011, a workshop on seeking inputs from stakeholders for Helvetas-Bhutan’s engagement in two working areas - Natural Resources Management (NRM) and Rural Infrastructure (RI) - was held. The workshop looked at trends and challenges in these working areas, experiences and lessons learnt from past engagements, and opportunities and future areas of strategic interventions. The inputs received will be documented and used in the elaboration of the Helvetas-Bhutan Country Programme (2012 – 2018). Participants to the workshop included representatives from government agencies, Tarayana Foundation (national NGO), Member of Parliament, and a private business person. The NRM working area is led by Kaspar Schmidt (Advisor, PFMP) and the RI working area by Dorji Wangdi (Project Manager, RLP). The overall facilitator for the workshop was Chhimi Dorji (Director, Rural Development Training center).
The next such workshop will be for the working area Civil Society and the State, and future inputs into the Culture sector.
