RDTC infrastructure handing over

 

Coinciding with the annual steering committee meeting of the RDT project phase III, the Rural Development Training center infrastructure were officially handed over to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. These infrastructure consisting of farm structures for practical training, training rooms, trainee hostels, staff quarters, and office space were built mainly in the first phase and continued in the second phase.  Phase I (2003-2007) focused on institutional establishment – infrastructure support, curriculum development and human resources. Phase II (2007 – 2008) continued the institution building process while also extending the reach of the center through increasing awareness and interest among communities. Phase III (2009 – 2011) is currently on-going. The Rural Development Training project is a partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and Helvetas/SDC.
