Workshop on Market Chain Approach in Zhemgang, Bhutan (from 24-25.09.09)
On 24. and 25. September 2009 the Rural Livelihood Project (RLP) with support of the, Rural Development Training Centre (RDT) arranged a workshop with the following expected outcomes:
Better awareness and understanding of the concept, the opportunities and limitation of the market chain facilitation approach
Identify training needs related to value chains
Agree on next steps
The workshop was attended by the Helvetas projects RLP, RDT, Participatory Forest Management Project (PFMP) and selected partners from the Government of Bhutan. The workshop took place in the Rural Development Training Centre Zhemgang. Responsible for facilitation was Chhimi Dorji (RDT). As resource person Helvetas Bhutan had invited Peter Schmidt (Helvetas Zürich).
