Gender Peer Review

 

For the first time, a gender peer review was conducted by Helvetas-Nepal in Helvetas-Bhutan. The review started on 10th August and consisted of discussions with Helvetas-Bhutan staff, government partners (Gross National Happiness Commission, Suspension Bridge Programme/Ministry of Works and Human Settlement, Social Forestry Division/Ministry of Agriculture and Forests), the National Commission for Women and Children, Liaison Office of Denmark, and a debriefing with Helvetas-Bhutan. The review is part of the process of looking at the gender strategy of Helvetas within different Country Programmes, as well as a forum for experience sharing among countries.
